Before a power failure
- Ask the healthcare provider or supplier about an appropriate backup plan
- Keep backup equipment and contact details easy to reach
- Check that required accessories are available and stored safely
During a power failure
- Follow the prescribed emergency instructions
- Do not change oxygen flow or treatment settings without medical advice
- Call 999 immediately for sudden or severe breathing difficulty
